KIKI OGINO

Kiki grew up in Portland, Oregon, where she attended high school at Jesuit High School. Classically trained in music, she began playing the piano at age 4 and soon after picked up the violin at age 6. Throughout her childhood, she played in several orchestras and symphony groups in Portland including the Metropolitan Youth Symphony, and competed in music festivals including the Baroque and Romantic festivals in which she came in first place.
After graduating high school, Kiki began pursuing higher education at Washington University in St. Louis where she began as a pre-medical student studying Anthropology and Global Health. Since then, she discovered a love for computer science and logistics and switched to a joint study program in Computer Science and Mathematics. As she also had enjoyed poetry and literature from a young age, she is pursuing a minor in poetry as well.

Kiki's interest in computer science began when she took a free online course on JavaScript overnight and fell in love with the creative logistics of code. From there, she took her first computer science course as a sophomore in college and interned as a Software Engineering Intern the following summer in San Francisco.
photography
Kiki received her first professional camera as a Christmas gift in 2014. Since then, she kicked off a photography business in high school as a Portrait Photographer and has continued her love for photography in school magazines at her university and liesure.
POETRY
After inspiration from her now favorite poet, Lisel Mueller, Kiki began pursuing the Art of Poetry through her higher education. With a minor in Writing with a concentration in Poetry, Kiki has continued to grow her love for language through her education and beyond the classroom.
